Robinson Presents “Criminal Masters in Advocacy 2025 Impaired Driving Defense” at NCAJ Summer Convention

Attorney Les Robinson attended the 2025 annual North Carolina Advocates for Justice Summer Convention, where NC attorneys met to network and take part in valuable and informative CLEs and training sessions. Robinson gave a presentation on “Criminal Masters in Advocacy 2025 Impaired Driving Defense,” offering a refresher on procedures, new tactics, and negotiation strategies for criminal defense attorneys to follow.

He presented an overview of recent case law and provided innovative strategies to challenge forensic lab analysis using the recent United States Supreme Court ruling in Smith v. Arizona that was adopted by North Carolina Appellate Courts in December 2024. He also gave a case law update on DWI defense and explored how different perspectives and insights are influencing other impaired driving cases around the country. As a regular participant and leader of numerous CLE programs, Les Robinson has spent considerable time developing and advancing DWI defense approaches to use in his own cases and as a tool for other attorneys to implement.
