The Robinson Law Firm, P.A. is pleased to welcome Charles (Charlie) W. King to the team. On Friday, April 19th, 2024, Charlie was sworn in as an Attorney at Law at the Pitt County Courthouse by the Honorable Judge Jeffrey Foster. “It’s very exciting to begin my law career with The Robinson Law Firm,” said Charlie. “I am looking forward to practicing in the town I grew up in and growing in this profession by working diligently to protect our clients’ constitutional rights.”

Having interned as a law clerk under Les Robinson for three summers, Charlie is accustomed to working at The Robinson Law Firm. “We are thrilled to have Charlie join the firm,” said Mr. Robinson. “His drive, eagerness, and dedication will make him an asset to our team and our clients who seek and expect aggressive legal representation to achieve the best results possible.”

Charlie, son of Bill and Eva King, was born and raised in Winterville, and attended Arendell Parrott Academy where he played multiple sports and excelled in the classroom. After high school graduation, Charlie attended Davidson College, where he played baseball and continued to shine as a student-athlete. After graduating from Davidson, Charlie attended the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University.

While at Campbell, Charlie was a member of the Moot Court Team, where students take part in appellate court proceedings with a focus on building skills in oral arguments. In addition, Charlie was a member of the team that competed and placed in the 31st Annual Duberstein Moot Court Competition and the National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition, where they won the runner-up award for best brief. He also received an award from sitting judges on the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. The team also competed in and won the American College of Bankruptcy Fourth Circuit Moot Court Competition. Charlie served as Moot Court Chair for the Old Kivett Advocacy Council, a team of student representatives that organize numerous law school competitions. As a judicial extern at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, Charlie drafted bench memorandums and reviewed briefs pertaining to civil and criminal appeals and drafted a final opinion for a criminal appeal. After years of participating in these organizations, Charlie is well poised for a career in law.

Since moving back to Greenville, Charlie has continued his love for sports by volunteering as an assistant coach for the Greenville Little League Host Lions team.
